The rustic charm of small colonial towns pervades these elegant lithographs by Guillermo Fernndez de Castro. Carved wood portals from highland forests line the cobblestone streets of Tapalpa, an alpine village in West Central Mexico. Stone portals grace the verdant patio of La Gutapera in Uruapn. Founded about 1540 by Franciscan priest Juan de San Miguel, it was originally destined to be a hospital and chapel. The lithographs reproduce the artist's original watercolor paintings. Titled "Palacios coloniales II" in Spanish.
